Sung Sim


Sung obtained her BLA at Kyung Hee University in Korea in 1998. She came to Canada shortly thereafter and obtained her MLA at UBC in 2002. From 2003-2007 she worked as a landscape architect in Vancouver before returning to Korea to work at one of the world’s leading  landscape architecture firms. During that period, Sung was also an Adjunct Professor in the landscape architecture department at Kyung Hee University in Korea. In 2013 Sung became a public landscape architect for the City of Seoul providing design work for public spaces and sat as an advisory member for the City Policy and innovative design process. Sung returned to Canada and after a brief period in London, Ontario she joined TLA.  She is a full member of the OALA & CSLA and a Ph.D candidate in landscape architecture at Kyung Hee University. She currently serves as a committee member of the Urban Design Peer Review Panel for the City of London and has been nominated for 5 Urban Design Awards in Canada. In addition, Sung has been the winner of Gold and Silver Tommie Awards in B.C and her work has been recognized with design awards during her time in Korea.
