Tamara joined Terraplan after completing her Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Manitoba, where she had previously completed a Bachelor of Environmental Design. Throughout her studies she received numerous awards for academic achievement, including a fellowship with the Manitoba Association of Landscape Architects (MALA). During her studies she held various teaching and IT support related positions within the University, including teaching various CAD technologies such as Rhino and ArcGIS. Tamara’s primary area of interest is the intersection between man-made environments and regionally occurring plant communities. In her academic research she investigated how these communities can be mimicked through design to create ecologically significant spaces within the dense urban fabric of the City.
